Sweet Child is a Mk3 Axopar 28. She has super comfy seating for 6, large sliding doors on both sides of the cabin which gives us a fantastic connection with the swimmer. The boat has a toilet, a bed, a fridge and a warm, dry enclosed cabin with heating! We have the ability to boil water for the swimmer. We also have a high speed internet connection whilst at sea.
The boat is fully commercially coded for our operations and as such carries an awful lot of emergency and lifesaving equipment. On top of the required kit, we also carry additional equipment including an AED. Sweet Child is certified for 6 people (which needs to include the boat crew, swim crew, swimmer and observer).
The boat is based in Porthcawl Marina, postcode CF36 3BY or see the link below. There is free parking all down the eastern prom and on “the triangle” next to the marina. Please note, restrictions apply for camper vans and we cannot be held liable for any parking tickets!
“Trecco Bay” holiday park just to the East of the Marina offer self contained static caravans with plenty of options on how many they sleep. This can make a good option to stay for your swim as its really close and has everything you need for you and your crew. There are usually plenty of options available on their website and also Air BnB.
