Swim routes
All channel swim tracks are affected by the tide. This is a particular feature of Bristol Channel Swims with our tides being so strong! In general in the Bristol Channel, the tide pushes up the channel for six hours as it comes in and down the channel for six hours as it flows out, hence the large “S” shapes!
